B- KLAY GETTING CLOSE??

NEW YORK -- Golden State Warriors swingman Klay Thompson has been cleared for full contact as he continues his rehab from a torn Achilles suffered in 2020.

Thompson, who stayed behind on the Warriors' four-game East Coast swing with several members of the Warriors' support staff, has started doing some 5-on-5 work as part of his recovery.

"He played 5-on-5 [Monday] and then I think he's going to play 5-on-5 [Wednesday]," Warriors coach Steve Kerr said after Tuesday's 117-99 win over the Brooklyn Nets. "James [Wiseman] did not play. He hasn't been cleared yet for 5-on-5, but Klay did, and I got good reports and he's got to keep going. A two-year absence requires a lot of work. Not just a rehab, but the endurance, the strength, so it's great that he's playing 5-on-5 but it doesn't mean he's going to be ready to step on an NBA floor next week or something, but he's progressing really well."

-HOW GOOD WILL THEY BE IF KLAY IS JUST OFFENSIVE KLAY?

C- KUMINGA CARVING OUT A ROLE…..

Jonathan Kuminga has accrued just over 30 minutes of playing time between tonight's first half and the Warriors' past two games (vs. Bulls & @ Hornets).
He has recorded 20 points on 9-15 from the field, 10 rebounds, 2 steals, 2 blocks, and is +22.

The iconic Staples Center will be renamed Crypto.comarena in December.

The crypto exchange is paying $700 million for the naming rights.

That’s nearly double the $375 million that it cost to build the arena in 1999.

These crypto companies aren’t messing around. pic.twitter.com/tqOaO0biFj 11/17/21, 4:53 AM

#49ers WR Deebo Samuel wins NFC Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season. He joins Jerry Rice as the only two wideouts in franchise history to do it multiple times in a season. He’s the first Niner to win multiple in same season since RB Frank Gore in 2009. 11/17/21, 7:41 AM

3- GIANTS/ MLB:

A- GABE WINS BUT SOME A HOLE IN CINCY SHOUDL OSE HIS VOTE….

Manager of the Year: Gabe Kapler takes NL honors; Kevin Cash wins second consecutive in AL

B- GIANTS IN ON CHRIS TAYLOR:

In addition to the Dodgers and Detroit Tigers, the San Francisco Giants and Texas Rangers are pursuing Taylor as well, David Vassegh said on SportsNet LA:

“From what I’ve been told from sources around baseball, the Texas Rangers and San Francisco Giants are two teams that are definitely in on Chris Taylor.”

There are prior connections with both teams, as Rangers manager Chris Woodward was the Dodgers’ third base coach at time of the trade for Taylor, and the two were in the Seattle Mariners’ system.

Meanwhile, Giants president of baseball operations Farhan Zaidi overlapped with Taylor during his tenure as general manager of the Dodgers.

L.A. reportedly considered offering a contract extension to Taylor during the season, but it is unclear if they did end up presenting it.

Taylor has hit .261/.337/.443 with a 111 wRC+ and 14.5 WAR across 743 games played in his career.

Taylor has loved playing for Dodgers

While Taylor is free to sign with any club, possibly remaining with the Dodgers appears to carry some meaning.
