He stands in there and takes his hits..
His focus downfield never wavers and he's been playing ball at a high level for a long time"

A- JOHN SHEA REPORTS FARHAN AND BOB ‘S DEALS ONLY THROUGH 2025 AND TEAM OPTION FOR 2026…..DOES THAT MEAN FARHAN IS MOSRE LIKELY TO STAY OFR ONE LST SEASON IN 2025?
|
| | | | | | The contracts of Farhan Zaidi and Bob Melvin, which were believed to be guaranteed by the San Francisco Giants through 2026, actually are guaranteed only through 2025, industry sources say. trib.al/L0g4HYb | | 9/10/24, 1:57 PM |

San Francisco Giants ownership needs to make difficult decisions when deciding how to go forward after this extremely disappointing 2024 season.
This is the sixth year that Farhan Zaidi has served as the president of baseball operations, and it’s possible that the team still will have just one winning season since 2017.
Ownership has made no public comment about Zaidi’s fate or whether he’ll be back in 2025. Amid talk of Zaidi’s uncertain future, his contract, which was believed to be guaranteed through 2026 and in line with manager Bob Melvin’s, actually is guaranteed only through 2025, according to industry sources.
For that matter, Melvin’s contract — which was announced as a three-year deal at the Oct. 25 news conference to introduce his hiring — also is guaranteed only through next season, meaning it was, in fact, a two-year deal. Both Zaidi and Melvin have the equivalent of club options for 2026.
