TATIS WEAR’S CURRY SHOES:
Tatis got Stephen Curry’s Under Armour brand basketball shoes custom-made into baseball cleats that he wore for the weekend series against the San Francisco Giants. Curry, Tatis said, has qualities as a team leader he hopes to emulate.
“The guy is a champ and the way he’s managed himself through his career is amazing,” Tatis said. “The type of player he is, the way he carried Golden State and overturned that culture when he got there. That’s the stuff you see as an athlete and player that I really enjoy watching.”
A mutual friend of Tatis and Curry brought the white and gold shoes to Curry for him to sign with a portion of Philippians 4:13 from the Bible: “I can do all things…” Curry, the four-time NBA champion, signs every pair he wears in games with the same verse.
