-GAME 5 QUESTIONS:
Beyond presumed move putting Curry back into starting lineup for Game 5, other rotation questions:
-Does Poole stay as a starter or is he moved to 6th-man role?
-Is Kuminga going to get regular minutes ahead of Bjelica?
-Will Iguodala/Porter/GP2 remain a 2nd-unit grouping?
-Denver shot 56.2% overall and 48.4% from 3 (15 for 31). A road team can't give up those %s AND miss 10 free throws and win very often. Sort of amazing the Warriors were that close.

3- 49ERS:
A- WILL 49ERS MOVBE DEEBO THIS WEEK?
ALBERT BREER — MMQB
I could be wrong, and the reason I’d emphasize that up front is I’m not sure how far someone else is willing to go to get him. I just feel like, at this point, with how carefully the Niners are managing the situation, it’d take a lot for them to move off their spot.
How much would it take? One rival GM said to me Sunday that he believes you’d probably have to go to John Lynch with two first-round picks, which would replace the 2022 and ’23 first-rounders the Niners dealt away last year to move up for Trey Lance, to wriggle Samuel free of San Francisco. And that is a lot, even in comparison to the other big receiver trades of the early parts of this year.
If the 49ers are dead set on replacing the first-rounders they lost in the Lance trade, then it’s reasonable to assume Samuel remains a Niner after this week unless one of these teams with multiple firsts feels the need to overpay so they don’t miss out on the Samuel sweepstakes.
Two first-rounders feel like a stretch, even for the NFL’s elite. Some argued it was too much compensation when the Rams gave that up for Jalen Ramsey. We all agree that was true when Seattle sent multiple first-rounders for Jamal Adams. But all it takes is one team.
Miami moved 29, 50, and Day 3 picks to the Chiefs for Tyreek Hill. The Raiders got Davante Adams for 22 and 53. If John Lynch softens his stance and turns his request into a first and a second, that could be all a team needs to pull the trigger on Deebo.
B- DEEBO’S WEEKEND —
C- LYNCH’S NAME AGAIN MENTIONED WITH FOX TOP JOB AND POSSIBLY WITH A 3 MAN BOOTH —
Fox Sports might return to a three-person broadcast booth on its No. 1 NFL TV team for the first time in nearly 20 years.
The network could give announcer Kevin Burkhardt not one but two game analysts for the 2022 season, said sources.
The team will succeed Joe Buck and Troy Aikman, who bolted to ESPN. The Walt Disney Co. is paying Buck and Aikman $160 million over the next five years to call “Monday Night Football” and the Super Bowl after the 2026 season.
Back in 2002, Fox named Cris Collinsworth and Aikman as co-lead analysts alongside Buck to succeed the late John Madden and Pat Summerall. That booth lasted three seasons before Collinswoth left for NBC Sports.
The open job at Fox is one of the most high-profile in sports media. Whoever lands the position will call two of the next three Super Bowls with Burkhardt, rules analyst Mike Pereira and sideline reporters Erin Andrews and Kristina Pink.
Among the contenders are Greg Olsen, who worked with Burkhardt on the No. 2 NFL team in 2021, Super Bowl-winning coach Sean Payton and ex-Fox analyst John Lynch.
Fox would like to hand the No. 1 job to Michael Strahan of the “Fox NFL Sunday” pregame show, said sources. But Strahan is probably not interested due to his anchoring job with ABC’s “Good Morning America.”
Don’t count out Jay Cutler. Fox hired Cutler as its No. 2 analyst in 2017 before he returned to the field with the Miami Dolphins.
PFT: JIMMY CAN BE CUT WHILE INJURED:
Under the labor deal, Garoppolo would be entitled to up to $2 million in salary from the 49ers for 2022 as an injury benefit, if he can’t pass a physical. That’s a far cry from the $25 million in compensation Garoppolo is currently due to earn.
And if Garoppolo would get signed by another team — after passing a physical — he’d be entitled to nothing further from the 49ers.
Garoppolo recently said he expects to be cleared for training camp. The 49ers apparently are hoping to squat on Garoppolo as long as possible, in the hopes that a trade will materialize. But who’s going to give the 49ers anything of value for a player who is under contract for only one year at $25 million?
This awkward dance likely will continue, as the 49ers — arguably too stubborn for their own good — keep squatting on Garoppolo while other fires rage within the organization, including receiver Deebo Samuel wanting out.
