WARRIORS:

KLAY AND THE CAVS -

lay Thompson has some choice words for the Cleveland Cavaliers.
In a piece that dropped Tuesday by Anthony Slater of The Athletic, Klay Thompson was reminded of the Cavaliers 2016 Halloween party, that included, among other things, tombstone cookies with Thompson’s and Stephen Curry’s names on them.
It looks like Thompson got the last laugh
“Oh, yeah. Ha!” Thompson told Slater. “That was funny. Look how that turned out. Psssh. Bums. That was crazy. I forgot about that. Well, look at what pettiness gets you. Gets you 1-8 in the Finals. Idiots.”
Thompson is of course referring to the fact that the Warriors beat the Cavs 4-0, and 4-1 in consecutive Finals appearances after blowing the 3-1 lead in 2016. For the record, Thompson’s original comments when he heard about the tombstone cookies back in 2016 were nearly as entertaining.
“Yeah, I don’t get it, cause I’m not dead,” he told USA Today Sports’s Sam Amick.
The Warriors play the Cavaliers on Wednesday in their first matchup since LeBron left for Los Angeles.

The Patrick Corbin fallout will be fascinating. Do the Yankees and Phillies join the Red Sox, Astros and Padres at the front of the line for Nathan Eovaldi? How does paying Corbin ~$24 million a year affect Nationals with Bryce Harper? Do Phillies now turn to Harper and Machado?

erry Crowley (@KO_Crowley)
Patrick Corbin will turn 30 (next July) two weeks before Madison Bumgarner turns 30.

Corbin's career ERA is 3.91 and Bumgarner's is 3.03, but Bumgarner has thrown nearly 700 more innings.

Will be fascinating to compare their deals next offseason.

-CORBON IS 2 WEEKS OLD, BUT 700 IP LIGHTER---HE GETS 6-140 ---IF BUM IS ANYWHERE CLOSE TO THAT ---I HAVE TO TRADE HIM.
