SAN JOSE - Bay Area professional sports teams including the San Jose Sharks, San Francisco 49ers, Oakland A's, San Jose Earthquakes, San Francisco Giants, Oakland Raiders and the Golden State Warriors announced a collective donation of $450,000 to support North Bay fire relief efforts. The teams urge all of their fans to contribute to the effort.
Fans can support disaster relief efforts at home games on Thursday, October 12 and Saturday, October 14 by participating in the Foundation's collection drive and donating via cash or check at the doors as they enter SAP Center, through the 50/50 Raffle presented by Black Oak Casino Resort or by visiting the Sharks Foundation Booth in section 118 on the concourse to make a financial contribution.
The teams have established a You Caring site www.youcaring.com/firerelief for fans to donate whatever they can to support the victims of these devastating fires. Alternatively, Bay Area fans who would like to contribute via text to relief efforts can text REDCROSS to 90999 to give $10 to American Red Cross Disaster Relief.

It is about time that Roger Goodell of the NFL is finally demanding that all players STAND for our great National Anthem-RESPECT OUR COUNTRY

49ERS HAVE JED'S SUPPORT:

In contrast to Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, who has said he will bench those who don’t stand during the national anthem, 49ers CEO Jed York has given his players his support.
That’s according to 49ers safety Eric Reid, who recently had a one-on-one conversation with York.
“I’ve talked to Jed,” Reid said. “And he’s expressed very clearly that he wants to support us. That he’s not going to force us to do anything. Speaking for our team, that’s what he’s told me explicitly.”
