COUSINS FOR A SWAP OF 1'S AND MORE? (Combine starst next Tuesday)

speculation that Kirk Cousins may not want to return to the Washington Redskins, and that he could end up as San Francisco’s quarterback next season, continues to ramp up.
NFL Network’s Daniel Jeremiah believes there is a good chance the trade could happen next week at the NFL Draft Combine in Indianapolis, and thinks there is a better than 50 percent chance that Cousins does not return to Washington in 2017.
“I would not be shocked at all if we saw a Kirk Cousins to San Francisco trade go down at that point in time,” Jeremiah said to San Diego’s Mighty 1090 radio station. “I don’t think (the Redskins) are going to be able to get a long term deal done. I would say greater than 50 percent chance he’s not with the Redskins next year.”
Cousins was drafted by the Redskins when new 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan was the offensive coordinator and his dad Mike was in charge in 2012. Washington would have to sign Cousins to the franchise or transition tag for next season before trading him, which would be a little over $23 million. San Francisco would then have to work out a long-term contract for Cousins, 28, who is slated for free agency next offseason. A trade for Cousins could possibly involve a swap of San Francisco’s second overall pick with Washington’s 17th.
