DUBS COUNTDOWN TO TIP OFF 4 PM:
Last night:
The Warriors recorded seven straight wins, including last night’s victory in Florida against the Orlando Magic, 118-98. They can attribute that win thanks to their excellent display in the third quarter in which they outscored Orlando 42-24. Steph Curry led Golden State with 27 points and six assists, Klay Thompson had 21 points and five rebounds, while Kevin Durant posted a double-double of 15 points and ten boards, along with six dimes, three steals, and two rejections.
Miami actually semi hot: Miami Heat (14-30) have recorded three consecutive wins despite having a lot of injury problems. Their fighting spirit and commitment is very encouraging for a young team still trying to find their identity. The Heat defeated the Rockets, the Mavericks, and most recently, the Milwaukee Bucks, 109-97, thanks to a solid average field goal percentage, 53.2%. Dion Waiters exploded for a season-high 33 points (12-19 from the field, and 5-8 from three points), Goran Dragic had 25 points and six assists, while Hassan Whiteside recorded a double-double of 16 points and 15 rebounds, along with two blocks

7's are wild: Klay and Steph 7 3's on Sunday and Wariors have won 7 in a row by an average of 18 points per game.... including Cleveland, OKC, Houston and Orlando by an average of 23 ppg....
HOT/NOT:
Hot: Curry and Thompson combined for 14 of 22 from 3 vs. Magic for 48 points...Curry scored 27 in only 29 minutes....

SHANNY ON 49ERS:
“I’ve pretty much been on a one-track mind all week,” Shanahan said. “Now that this is over, I’ll have a chance to talk with (the 49ers) a little bit more, and after that week, I’ve got to go back to blocking it out and go to the Super Bowl, which shouldn’t be too hard. It’s the Super Bowl. It’s a lot to juggle, but it’s definitely something that I’m happy I’m a part of.”
The plan, Shanahan said, is to spent much of the coming week game planning “because we know it’ll be a zoo the next week” in Houston. Sometime late in the week, when the Falcons have a couple days off, Shanahan will meet with 49ers officials and at least one general manager candidate: Minnesota Vikings assistant GM George Paton.
Shanahan’s contract, the power structure and other details still need to be finalized, and the 49ers aren’t allowed to hire him until at least Feb. 6. But unless something falls apart in those negotiations, it’s expected to happen. And 49ers brass surely liked what they saw here.
