Colin Kaepernick plans to again sit during the national anthem on Thursday night in San Diego, where the home team will be honoring the military.
The 49ers quarterback’s refusal to stand will coincide with the Chargers’ “28th Annual Salute to the Military” celebration. The team recognizes the city’s huge military population during a preseason game each year and will have pregame and halftime events honoring the military Thursday.
San Diego County has the largest concentration of military personnel and ships in the world,

NHL.com – The NHL’s Las Vegas expansion team trademarked the nicknames Desert Knights, Golden Knights and Silver Knights last week, a team spokesperson confirmed to NHL.com.
Detroithockey.net first reported the names on Aug 23. Las Vegas was awarded an expansion team on June 22. The franchise will begin play as the NHL’s 31st team in the 2017-18 season. On July 13, owner Bill Foley said he wanted to have a logo and team name “ASAP,” but copyright reasons have been an issue.
It’s been 2 months since the NHL announced the league would be expanding to Las Vegas and the team still doesn’t have a name yet. Obviously, as you just read, the names “Desert Knights” “Golden Knights” and “Silver Knights” have all been trademarked by the team, and I also saw the name “Sand Knights” getting thrown around there too. Before we even get started here, let me just say that all of those names suck dick. And all of them are highly offensive as they are appropriating medieval culture. Kinda fucked up if you ask me but I guess Bill Foley and the rest of the organization doesn’t give a shit about that.
