Draymond legal case resolved:

Draymond Green reportedly resolved his case in Michigan.
The Warriors' All-Star forward will avoid jail time and his charges will be reduced, according to multiple reports.
Draymond will reportedly pay a $500 fine and a $60 restitution fee.

He was facing a charge of misdemeanor assault or misdemeanor assault and battery after his July 10 arrest for allegedly slapping a Michigan State football player.
"The plea agreement reached with Mr. Green is in accordance with our normal plea bargain procedures and guidelines for a case with similar circumstances, evidence and witness statements," assistant city prosecutor David Meyers said. "We simply treated Mr. Green no differently than any other defendant that we prosecute."

-Two fold: Win for the first time since the break and help the Yankees decide to sell

*CURRY SAYS HE'S NOT OVER NBA FINALS LOSS: ARE FANS BECAUSE OF DURANT? SEEMS LIKE MOST ARE.....

"I haven't gotten over it at all. I mean, it's something that will live with you forever," Curry told ESPN of the Warriors' loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers. "Game 7 was a tough pill to swallow."
The two-time NBA MVP, who's one of the favorites to win this week's American Century Championship celebrity golf tournament in Lake Tahoe, Calif., went on to say that he took the blame the Warriors' loss squarely on his shoulders.
"I took a lot of responsibility for just not performing at the level that I expect myself to, and it's obviously the biggest stage that we can possibly have," Curry continued. "You feel that weight after the game's over with, come down on you. ... It won't be something that will hold me down, but I'll have it in the back of my mind forever."
Not that Curry is looking at it as a bad thing, per se. "We're gonna hopefully come back stronger and better than we were this year, hopefully put ourselves in to a position to be playing for another championship and get the job done," he said.

Did Durant get you over it?

*USA BASKETBALL: HAD JERRY COLANGELO ON - LOOKING AT BIO'S STILL SO WEIRD TO SEE DURANT AS A WARRIOR IN WIRITING.....

AUDIO: BOBBY EVANS - WOULD HE GO AFTER CHAPMAN? (NEED QUESTION AND ANSWER)
3. Jeanmar Gomez, RHP, Phillies Gomez and Hellickson are the two most valuable trade pieces the Phillies have to continue their rebuilding program by adding talent through trades at this year’s deadline.
4. Alex Colome, RHP, Rays
Colome quickly developed into one of the league’s best closers after Brad Boxberger went on the disabled list. The Rays are looking for bats if they trade him.
5. Jeremy Jeffress, RHP, Brewers
If the Yankees don’t end up selling, the Brewers could benefit by reaping a significant return for Jeffress.
6. Will Smith, LHP, Brewers
Teams that lose out on Chapman and Miller will be calling the Brewers on Smith as well as Jeffress.
7. Sean Doolittle, LHP, Athletics
Doolittle's injury history and contract will make it difficult for the A’s to move him.
8. Fernando Abad, LHP, Twins
Abad is probably the best bet to be the first player traded by interim GM Rob Antony.
9. Ryan Madson, RHP, Athletics
He’s better suited for a setup role for a contending team than pitching as a closer at this point in his career.
10. Tyler Clippard, RHP, Arizona Diamondbacks
He has experience closing and setting up, and he can get out both right-handed and left-handed hitters.
11. Boone Logan, LHP, Colorado Rockies
The Rockies should be able to pick up a quality prospect for him.
12. Jake McGee, LHP, Rockies
He needs to get out of Coors Field.
13. Joe Smith, RHP, Angels
Teams looking for a different arm angle and bullpen look should take on a chance on him.
14. Huston Street, RHP, Angels
An injury and poor performance are the story here, as his value has plummeted.

-If you didn't want Chapman, what would ou do, stay away?

“It’s a good question, but usually bullpens get on a roll like a rotation or a lineup,” he said. “They’ve got the experience. They’ve been there before, both of them. Then you lean on that. Having said that, we know how busy (the front office) guys are looking for some help. But it’s not just going to be the average Joe coming in.
“You’re thinking it’s going to be a meaningful piece, but the competition on the premium people is going to be real stiff and it already is.”
“The (way) the game is played now you want swing-and-miss,” Sabean said. “We got away with it a long time — and to their credit — with a lot of contact relievers. But the game has kind of changed in front of us. Now that wouldn’t preclude you from getting somebody that was as such, but selfishly you would want somebody that could really get through an inning and not have much flak in getting through the inning.”
Miller averages 15.24 strikeouts-per-nine and Chapman, who hit 105 mph earlier this week, is also elite at 12.71.

*NBA pulls ASG from Charlotte - If you are a bigoted state, you don't get the NBA money ...Bravo.

NBA announced Thursday that the 2017 All-Star Game, which was set to be held in Charlotte next year for the first time since 1991, will be relocated due to North Carolina's controversial HB2 law. The league said in a statement that it does not "believe we can successfully host out All-Star festivities in Charlotte in the climate created by HB2" and stated that it wants members of the LGBT community to feel welcome.
Hornets owner Michael Jordan responded to the decision in a statement Thursday, and said that he hopes the NBA can bring the All-Star Game to Charlotte in 2019.
Via the Hornets:
"We understand the NBA’s decision and the challenges around holding the NBA All-Star Game in Charlotte this season.  There was an exhaustive effort from all parties to keep the event in Charlotte, and we are disappointed we were unable to do so.  With that said, we are pleased that the NBA opened the door for Charlotte to host All-Star Weekend again as soon as an opportunity was available in 2019. We want to thank the City of Charlotte and the business community for their backing throughout this entire process, starting with the initial bid. We are confident that they will be just as supportive and enthusiastic for the 2019 NBA All-Star Game."

-MLB may set limit on releif pitchers? WHAT IS THIS LITTLE LEAGUE?
"I am in favor of something like that," Manfred said. "We've [MLB] spent a ton of time on this issue in the last few months.
"You know the problem with relief pitchers is that they're so good. I've got nothing against relief pitchers, but they do two things to the game: The pitching changes themselves slow the game down, and our relief pitchers have become so dominant at the back end that they actually rob action out of the end of the game, the last few innings of the game. So relief pitchers is a topic that is under active consideration. We're talking about that a lot internally."
