Plus, how Curt Casali will slide into a bigger role with Bailey out. (He expects to catch tomorrow, too).

GIANTS PITCHING:
Since July 26, Giants pitching has allowed
77 runs in 24 games (3.21 runs/game)...the 3.21 runs allowed
per game in that time is lowest in the National League and
second-lowest in the Majors behind only the Tampa Bay Rays
(3.09 runs/game)...SF is 16-8 in this stretch.

RHP Logan Webb has allowed two runs in
his last 29.1 innings (0.61 ERA) over four starts entering his
outing today vs. the White Sox...he's struck out 25 and walked
six while holding hitters to a .160 average in that time.
In his last three starts at home dating to July 31 Webb has
surrendered just one run in 23.2 innings (0.38 ERA) with
21 strikeouts and opponents hitting .153...all three have
resulted in Giants wins.
The 27-year-old is 7-3 with a 2.26 ERA (21er, 83.2ip) in 12
starts at home this year...the Giants as a team are 9-3 in
Webb's 12 home starts, winning five of his last six dating to
June 12 vs. Houston.

LOGAN WEBB:
Webb (11-8) earned the win over Atlanta on Thursday, allowing four hits and one walk while striking out seven batters over 7.1 scoreless innings.
ANALYSIS
All four of the hits against Webb were singles, and he didn't allow a runner to reach third base until there were two outs in the eighth inning. The right-hander registered his fourth consecutive win, and he has three quality starts during that span. Webb has surrendered just two runs while posting a 25:6 K:BB across 29 innings during the dominant four-start stretch.
GARRETT CROCHET:
Crochet allowed a run on four hits over four innings in a no-decision Friday. He struck out nine during the victory against Houston.
ANALYSIS
Crochet coughed up a run in the third inning but managed to produce a ridiculous 17 whiffs on just 55 pitches. Of those 17 swinging strikes, 11 came via the four-seam fastball, which averaged 97.7 mph. Crochet seems to be on a strict innings limit as he hasn't thrown more than four innings in any start since the beginning of July. During that span, he's posted a 6.17 ERA while punching out 35 batters across 23.1 frames.
ONLY 4 ABS IN THE GINATS LINE UP VS. CROCHET LIFETIME — MARK CANHA IS 0-3 W/ 2 K’S AND MATT CHAPMAN IS 0-1.
