After propelling the Warriors to a five-point cushion at the end of the third quarter, Curry watched from the bench as the 76ers went up 82-81. Then, with 6:54 left, Curry checked in nearly a minute before his usual return and started draining 3-pointer after 3-pointer.
In little less than six minutes, he hit five triples on a mix of step-backs, crossovers and catch-and-shoot jumpers. By the time he went to the bench with 9.9 seconds left as teammates stood to applaud him, Curry had powered a 26-13 run to put the Warriors up 12. Making it even sweeter for him was the fact that he outscored his younger brother, Philadelphia guard Seth Curry, 28-0 in the second half.

"I think you'd win a lot of games WITH Mac Jones. With the right coaching, fixing the flaws, and taking the talent to another level, Trey Lance is the quarterback that you win games BECAUSE of." pic.twitter.com/

In his past 11 games, Curry has averaged 40 points on 54.1% shooting (52.9% from 3-point range), 4.5 assists and 6.1 rebounds. Klay Thompson is second in league history behind Curry (21) with five games of at least 10 3-pointers; in four of Curry’s past five, he has hit at least 10 threes.
“It’s the same thing after every game,” Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said of Curry, who is on pace to join Bryant (three times), James Harden, Elgin Baylor and Wilt Chamberlain (11 times) as the only players in NBA history to average 40 points in a month. “It’s just utter amazement at this guy’s skill level, heart, mind, focus. It’s just amazing to watch.”

Giants starting pitchers rank second only to the Brewers in the majors with a 2.23 ERA, an encouraging start considering virtually the entire rotation might be the focus of trade rumors in July.
Johnny Cueto, Kevin Gausman, Anthony DeSclafani, Aaron Sanchez and Alex Wood all are on one-year commitments, leaving the Giants with the choice of trading, extending or keeping them, depending upon how their season is going.
Cueto likely would be the most coveted if, as club officials expect, he recovers relatively quickly from a strained lat. DeSclafani produced a 1.06 ERA in his first three starts, and Gausman on Monday night shut out the Phillies for six innings, lowering his ERA to 2.45.

Patrick Marleau stands alone in NHL history
bit.ly/3txe7PS pic.twitter.com/
On Monday in Las Vegas, the San Jose Sharks forward set the record for the most career NHL games played (1,768), previously held by the most legendary of all Saskatchewan hockey players, the late Gordie Howe (who also logged 419 games in the WHA.)
"For me growing up in Saskatchewan, one of the first things you do is look to see what players from Saskatchewan are in the NHL — and obviously Gordie comes to the top of that list," says Marleau, 41. "And Bryan Trottier and Mark Lamb and players like that who grew up in my area who made it. It gives you hope."
He says he thought: "Maybe that could be me one day playing in the NHL since these other guys before me did it coming from small farming communities in Saskatchewan."
