Cincinnati momentarily holds the edge for the final playoff spot because it has the best intradivision record, the tiebreaker. The Giants have the worst record against their own division among the eighth-spot contenders, at 15-17, but because they play their final eight against the West, their overall and intradivison records are hitched.

Plane issues:
The San Francisco 49ers typically fly out of San Jose International Airport for road games and were set to do so for this two-game stint on the East Coast. Their plans changed, however, when the plane was found to be damaged, forcing the entire team to travel north and leave out of San Francisco International Airport, according to an on-air report by FOX.
The 49ers plan to stay on the East Coast between their two games at MetLife Stadium. The team has a comfortable lead late in the fourth quarter against the New York Jets and will return to play the New York Giants in one week.
The team will stay and practice at The Greenbrier in West Virginia this week.
