WORRIED?
MOREY THEORY:
Speaking of the Rockets -- Houston GM Daryl Morey was recently a guest on "The Full 48" podcast with Bleacher Report's Howard Beck and one of the main topics was the expected rematch between Golden State and Houston.
"Sometimes the Warriors don't look as good as last year," Morey said. "But honestly when I look at it, I think it's just they're bored and they can still flip the switch.
"They're gonna be incredibly difficult. Most series come down to your best players -- especially your best five going against their best five. They actually have more of their best five this year than last year because they did have [Andre] Iguodala out last year."
The Warriors can absolutely "flip the switch," but the problem this year is that the switch doesn't stay on for extended stretches.

Defensive linemen and linebackers were in the spotlight throughout the first round. There were 15 DL/LB selected Thursday, the most such first-round picks in the Common Draft Era (1967). That includes four of the Top 5 picks, and seven of the Top 10.
|
Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter)
Only one CB went in first round this year. Browns GM John Dorsey said: “If you talk to a lot of people around the league, if you talked about the cornerbacks and how they had the cornerbacks rated, I bet you would have 20 different stackings at the cornerback position this year.”

Michael David Smith (@MichaelDavSmith)
Last year the Cardinals paid Sam Bradford $16 million, paid Mike Glennon $5 million, and traded their first-, third- and fifth-round picks to move up for Josh Rosen. Bradford and Glennon are gone and now Rosen will be pushed aside for Kyler Murray.

Matt Barrows (@mattbarrows)
@eric_crocker @iGranini Eric may be right. Judging from the guys they brought in, they seem to be concentrating on late-round or even non-drafted CBs. Couldn't find a single safety they brought in.

AJ BROWN, DEBO SAMUEL, DK METCALF, PARIS CAMPBELL ---WATCH MILES BOYKIN ND.

The pick I'm looking forward to the most today is the fourth of the second round. The 49ers are honoring their beloved scout, Reggie Cobb, who passed away last week, by allowing Cobb's son, DeMarcus, to announce the choice. #NFLDraftpic.twitter.com/hvemFqqA7K

Matt Maiocco (@MaioccoNBCS)
The 49ers have picks at No. 36 overall and No. 67 on Friday. Their biggest remaining need is wide receivers. Here are their most logical options:

Bosa has been following white nationalist accounts with some of the most vile and disgraceful content you’ll see. There’s other disturbing things he’s done on social media.
A black player who did the equivalent would see his draft stock tumble like Nadia Comaneci. Yet...crickets |
Matt Barrows (@mattbarrows)
Nick Bosa on the Bay Area: "I love the Bay Area. And I'm excited to play there. I was a little insensitive in some of the things I've said. I've learned a lot in the past few months. And I'm just ready to move forward from that, put it in the past & bring the Faithful some wins."

WR Tyreek Hill has been barred from attending Chiefs’ off-season activities in wake of the disturbing audio - and that might just be the beginning.

Jason Cole (@JasonCole62)
The only gathering of information the Chiefs need to do at this point is verify that Tyreek Hill is really the person on the tape. As long as it is, the decision is over with. He can't play again. However, the NFL/NFLPA need to provide him counseling. The police can do the rest
