STATS:

PREVIEW:

or the third time in these playoffs, the Warriors matched their franchise record for fewest turnovers in a game with only seven in Game 3. What was most remarkable this time was that they committed zero in the second half. In five games with Brown as coach, the Warriors are averaging 9.6 turnovers per game. … Rudy Gobert played well for the Jazz with 21 points, 15 rebounds and four assist, two coming on nice passes to Diaw cutting to the basket. … Andre Iguodala, who had been 0 for 18 on 3-pointers in the playoffs, made his first two attempts in Game 3.

HOT: DURANT - 38 POINTS WHILE CURRY AND THOMPSON WENT 7-29 , DURANT WENT 15-26 --COMBO OF ISO ON HAYWARD AND PICK N RIOLL ON GOBERT

NOT: KLAY

Thompson has been so-so offensively so far in these playoffs, and has yet to deliver a signature performance. He fell far from that in Game 3, scoring six points and going 1 for 9 from the field. For the playoffs, he has one 20-point game (24 in Game 3 at Portland). After being needled for being outscored by Zaza Pachulia (seven points), Thompson should be motivated to break out of this slump.

-NOT BEATING THEMSELVES:

The Warriors have committed 11.5 turnovers per 100 possessions this postseason, best in the NBA. It’s been a contrast from the regular season when Golden State ranked 20th with 14.4 turnovers per 100 possessions.

DURANT TAKES OVER

Game 3: Durant played his best playoff game as a Warrior with 38 points and 13 rebounds as the ors rallied in the second half for a 102-91 victory and a commanding 3-0 series lead. With the score 86-84 the Warriors broke it open with back-to-back 3-pointers by Curry and Durant that pushed the score to 92-84 with 3:04 to go. Curry didn’t shoot well (6 of 20 from the field, 3 of 11 on 3-pointers) but scored 18 of his 23 points in the second half. The Jazz again played without Hill.

-Durant's best game as a Warrior and he's nasty too....
-DRAY FINALLY LOSES HIS COOL

Green picked up his first technical foul of the playoffs in Game 3, but is still without a flagrant foul point. It takes four flagrant foul points to earn an automatic one-game suspension, such as the one Green served in Game 5 of the NBA Finals last year. It takes seven technical fouls to earn the same suspension. In 2016, Green got a retroactive Flagrant 1 for throwing Houston’s Michael Beasley to the floor in the first round. He was called for a Flagrant 1 (upgraded to a Flagrant 2 upon review) for kicking Oklahoma City’s Steven Adams in the crotch while flailing his leg in the Western Conference finals. That brought his flagrant foul point total to three. In Game 4 of the NBA Finals, Green was retroactively charged with a Flagrant 1 for taking a swipe at LeBron James’ genitals after James stepped over Green.

-Curry and Thompson don't have to be great each night - Durant picks it up
-ZERO 2nd half turnovers
-Night life report: Draymond and KD go to Top Golf
On Saturday against Utah, Golden State held the Jazz to 41 points on 32.4-percent shooting in the second half.

-One game of 15 in second round has been under double digits
-Nene out for playoffs

If the Warriors wrap things up tonight, they would have a chance to rest while awaiting the winner of the San Antonio Spurs-Houston Rockets series. The Rockets won 125-104 at home Sunday night to tie the series at 2-2, guaranteeing it will at least go to Game 6 on Thursday night. With the Eastern Conference finals slated to start no earlier than Monday, May 15, it appears the earliest start for the Western Conference finals could be Sunday, unless San Antonio and Houston are playing Game 7 that day. On Sunday night, the Rockets hit 19 3-pointers as they routed the Spurs. But Houston lost backup center Nene to a groin injury that will knock him out of the playoffs. The Spurs have been without point guard Tony Parker, who suffered a quadriceps tear in Game 2 and is out for the rest of the playoffs.
