TOPICS:

WARRIROS GAME ONE FLOP---HATERS COMING OUT.....WON'T MATTER ...DOES SHOW SOME FLAWS

-Spurs penetration led to help defender, Spurs open for offensive rebounds (21 ORBs, 26-4 2nd chance)

-Draymond over powered low by Aldridge, as good as he's looked, missed Bogut in post, Za Za was out guarding Gasol and couldn't help

-Guarding the 3-ball - Spurs do it as well as anyone, were not going to give up open 3's, Pop called a TO anytime Curry hit one.

-Simmons - 2 years in D-eague as a FA ...Typical Spurs pick up - Bench:
-Spurs bench athletic, Iguodala not good

-Offense will be fine

-Key moment: Kerr will figure out rotations but Warriors pull to 16-12, Kerr pulls Durant and Klay with
IGUODALA AND CLARK..., ....WEST FOR PACHULLIA 3:10 --18-18....LIVINGSTON FOR CURRY 1:47 --Durant FOR GREEN 22-18.....  9-2 SPURS TO END QTR WITH DURANT, WEST, LIVINGSTON, IGUODALA AND CLARK... .... That will take time...

-Draymond's tech for yelling after breakaway dunk --All the pro leagues are getting too sensetive --Let these damn guys show some emotion --That's not on Dray (Warriors pull to 68-58 at 8:56 of 3rd - Leonard hits tech FT, Parker hits a runner, 73-58.....Warriors get outscored rest of qtr 29-19......down 20 end of 3rd....)

-Kerr got on Dray for not getting back on defense and jawing w official --Trying to set early tone---

-The "Good loss" theory --Don't buy it ---Why weren't they ready ? They no the Spurs---

-Total over reaction by social media and media ----Warriors need to know --Every team will treat them like the champs, like the measuing stick --NO nights off...

-Remember to have fun .....They do well having fun --Don't put pressure on themseles to be perfect...

-Box

49ERS:

-Why wouldn't Chip leave? Harbaugh is making $9M at Michigan this year, #1 in CFB....Was making $5M to coach 49ers, (5-25), Kelly is making 6M per year, signed a 4-24M ....(Signed 5-32M to coach Eagles)

-There were some questions about Trent Baalke's future with the San Francisco 49ers, as well as his contract status, and we have some clarity. Baalke was signed through the 2016 season, but Matt Maiocco is now reporting Baalke actually signed a new contract that has him signed through the 2018 season. Maiocco reported the extension was meant to line his contract up with that of Jim Tomsula.

Jan 4, 2016: (CSN)

While explaining why he decided to fire coach Jim Tomsula after one season, 49ers CEO Jed York on Monday expressed confidence general manager Trent Baalke is the person to hire the next head coach and reconstruct the roster.
“Trent understands that I’m not satisfied with the current state of this team,” York said Monday during a 30-minute press conference at Levi’s Stadium. “Trent’s role is to find the next head coach and continue to build this roster and get us back to championship form.”
Baalke has spent the past 11 years with the 49ers with the past five in the role of general manager. He was named NFL Executive of the Year in 2011. But the 49ers had a disastrous 2012 draft, and Baalke’s player selections have netted few playmakers in recent seasons.
“I’ve seen Trent build a championship-caliber roster, in his time as director of player personnel (and) in his time as general manager,” York said. “I believe in Trent’s ability. We have a lot of opportunity in front of us.”
Baalke has three years remaining on his contract --  the same time remaining as Tomsula, who signed a four-year, $14 million contract last January. Tomsula will receive the remaining $10.5 million on his deal.
Baalke is currently signed through the 2018 season, CSNBayArea.com has learned. Baalke and the 49ers agreed to another contract since the team announced in February 2012 he signed a three-year extension through the 2016 season.
The 49ers expect to have 12 draft picks, including the No. 7 overall selection after finishing the season with a 5-11 record. The 49ers will have as much cap space as any team in the league.
“We haven’t been the most active in free agency in years past,” York said. “We need to figure out what the right talent is outside of this building and what the right talent is inside of this building and make sure we knock it out of the park in this draft.”
Baalke was in charge of the process a year ago that led to the promotion of defensive line coach Tomsula to take over for Jim Harbaugh as head coach. Tomsula became only the eighth coach fired after just one NFL season since 2000.
“Unfortunately, I didn’t see this team improve collectively from the beginning of the season to the end,” York said. “That’s what ultimately led to this decision.”
-49ers now 10,000 to 1

RAIDERS:

-Lott trying to keep Raiders in Oakland

NFL:

-GOOD LUCK TRYING TO PAWN OFF WARE'S RING

OTHER:

PRO SPORTS OR LITTLE LEAGUE?

-NFL RATINGS PROBLEMS --- Are people watching less because it's not as good?

Mert hit it.....

“The NFL wants their players to be dynamic individuals from the start of the whistle to the end of the whistle, stop exactly what they’re doing on a dime, go back to their huddle and then do it again. After being in the league office and now being on the outside looking in after being in the league office for 13 seasons, there is a real line of demarcation that the NFL product inherently harms itself when it devalues its characters, when it doesn’t live up to the entertainment entity that it itself claims it is . . . Sportsmanship is a worthy goal. I’m not minimizing that. That’s the line the NFL is taking. But they are throwing out the baby with the bath water. They are stripping away what makes the league a must-watch event.’’
—Merton Hanks, who was the NFL’s vice president of football operations until last spring, to Tom Curran of Comcast Sports Net-New England. Hanks is now associate commissioner of Conference USA.
